This isn't a willy waving thread, it came up on a bike forum and it's quite interesting to read. Alot of bikers have barely broken the 100mph barrier which is quite surprising.
On a Kawasaki Ninja 636 I've had 178mph on the clocks
Me driving a car (VW Jetta 2.0 TDI) I've had 138mph
As a passenger in a car (Audi S3) I've done 160mph
Who's next

my cars gone off the clock, only gose it to 125 on the clock tho. So at a gess 125 ish?
i was a passanger at 170 ish in a Bentley Continental GT, it was kinda odd, dint real feel like i thought it would.

ON a private track that runs straight i hit 120ish  but then i bottled it  Corsa Z20LET
oh i forgot 340bhp Anni - on private road 180ish  that was fucking fast.

Fastest I've had the A3 so far is 135 then chickened out.
Fastest I've been as a passenger was in a Skyline at 160.

The Punto runs out of steam at 120mph. Even then I still got overtaken by a BMW 5 series and a Merc 4x4 thing....

I've seen over 160 on the Astra Speedo.
Corsa saw off the clocks regulary, never quite the limter though so about 140.
150+ on various bikes, and the Bandits seen 148, which is mental as it'll never ever do over 135
Top end speeds the same old same old though. Show me some braking areas and flowing bends anyway Top speeds like BHP quotes

But bearing in mind the percentage error on the speedo will be pretty big at that speed it would have been more like 108ish in real life.
