How hard and how do you do it?

Had a quick look today can see the pins at top which wouldnt be hard and the gas struts etc...

BUT

The wiring...?

How hard is it to disconnect it all and thread it through the new boot etc?

Seems like its gonna be a bit of a bitch..

no need to pull the wiring out of the boot, theres a connector behind the plastic pannle in the boot near the light that just unplugs and pulls through

as for the strut just use a 13mm spanner and undo the bolt thing that the strut clips onto

What do you mean use a coat hanger?

I will proberly remove the grommet and after disconnecting it all from under the cover pull it all through and then try and thread it up through new boot..cant be too many wires..

Gonna be fun I rekon

oh ok if you drop a piece of string down into the new boot through the hole where the wiring goes in then just tie it to the end of the loom and pull it through

When I had mine resprayed I removed the wiring out of the boot whilst it was painted. Took about 5 mins of pushing the wires back in and pulling them out slightly whenever they got snagged up.

Like you said there aren't that many wires so they slide down quite nicely. Least they did for me
