bit of both, depends, if its landscapes I normaly combine thrashing the car round the country lanes and take a few pics along the way.
If its in public Im normally with Mike B

have done the odd few night ones alone, I feel un easy being on my own though, im a propper paranoid at the best of times

lol i'm feeling the same way. its not bad when u got a compact digi cam but with this big thing it stands out a mile.
Most of my mates aren't into photography tho so not easy dragging them out

I go out on my own usually, I find it a good and rewarding way of relaxing and having some time to myself. Its nice to have some company sometimes too as it can help you see things from a different perspective/angle etc that you may not have thought of.

Unless you planning to photograph the local drug den no, just stay in well lit areas if you can. If you feel uneasy move on. People will rob you for anything, phone, money etc so you shouldn't feel any worse with a camera

my tripod is 6ft 5 so I would have quite a nice reach if I swang it at someone

Anywhere really. Round town... bus depo uses a old church building which looks good at nite. They re did the outside of train station which also looks good at nite. I'm usually bored at nite so always tempted to go out and take some shots

someone tried to mug me for my camera outside london excel at 10am in the morning with police and people everywhere!
