I've never seen the obsession with WoW (although I never gave it a chance). I used to play RuneScape a lot when I was 12-14 but only really to make money from it. Over £5k in 6 months. It doesn't sound like a lot but for a youngster with no job, it felt like winning the lottery... The potential is still there now but it's a lot of hassle and they've made things a lot more secure.

I used to play WoW, started during my second year at uni. Its really good, and I love the genre of the game anyway (always loved Diablo 2, could play and replay that forever). However the cost of paying for it, and the fact I got to something like level 30 ish and the quests were all so far away, you had to run for miles and miles and it would sometimes take an hour or so just to reach the quest  Got bored tbh

used to play it every night blod elf rogue lvl 67 used to do a fair bit of battle grounds but i ended up getting the shakes in my right hand and couldnt play anymore.
miss the game and it did take over my life and was damn expensive

I wish it was a little cheaper - like £3 - £5 a month. When its nearly £10 you sort of feel like you have to get the most out of it so people sit on it for ours on end

I did
Moved house since then and my disposable incoming has vanished, so the £10 a month for WoW becomes excellent value

I suppose if you think about it, what else would £10 a month buy you? 1 take away? 4 pints? (10 on student night ) 80 miles in an average car? Really got to stop justifying this shit.......

im pretty fed up of running about all the time.. 9 more levels though (lvl 30) and i get a mount though right?
ive just moved onto the next area from the blood elf paladin area and now in undercity bit..
some quests now come up low level.. is it worth doing them for the rep?
as for ten pounds a month to play.. its not really bank breaking is it
diablo 3 is out in days though hope it lives up to diablo 2's rep

Don't bother with low level shite, if you're 21 - head just south of Tirisfal Glades and there is an area called silverpine forest. Finish up in there and head south again to Hillsbrad.
Gets much nicer with a mount, I've just levelled my warlock from 0 to 64 in two weeks, the changes they've made to 0-60 (including lowering mount level to 30) helps a shit load!

lowered mounts to 30?! Wish they had done that while i was playing, might have stuck with it some more! Must be strong, willpower

Yeah, the XP between 0-60 has been practically halfed, mounts down to 30 and loads of extra graveyards added.
60-70 can now be done in a weekend if you stick at it, and 70-80 is about 8-10 hours per level
