I'm glad they run the stroke adverts, I always wondered why some people were sat there with a fiery hole in their head.

Ash, I do think the stroke one has a purpose though.

I agree with the speeding ones though, I wish parents would teach their kids how to cross the road properly. That way, the real, decent parents will have children and the chav kids that are taught to walk in the road gangsta stylee will be taught a lesson, Darwin style

I'm focusing on the seat belt advertisements for my Uni dissertation and have been researching a lot of theories on road safety and such.

All your comments are quite interesting. But there is quite concrete evidence that the 'THINK!' brand has saved the government circa £700million (iirc) through a reduction in KSI's (Killed or seriously injured).

I really shouldnt have laughed at that gav

The motorbike ones annoy me most "Think, take longer to look for motorbikes"...Erm...I will look as much as i need to but when a biker comesdown a 40 road at well over 100 however long i look for isnt going to be able to stop him smashing into me.

alternatively you have a biker doing the speed limit and some complete prick pull out of a side turning on them..... works both ways my little man!

But if that person pulled out on the bike they probably didnt look at all and would have pulled out on a car too. Always happens to me.

I like to think I am quite concious for looking out for bikes. As they are always coming up the inside/outsides at junctions when its busy.
Was going round a roundabout the other day and one past me on the outside glad I looked over my shoulder that time

allan makes the best point. Why reduce damages of an accident when it could be completely avoided in the first place.

Its the same stupid attitude that means we have "warning produck will be hot after cooking" we are catering for morons at the expense of civilisation.

I was always taught as a kid that roads are built for cars, to respect that and be careful.

I have never been hit by a car.
