Right... first things first... you have probably seen my old car.... love it or hate it... i dont really care.... lol... pic here to remind you..
but as i had a bit of cash floating around one week.. i decided to buy a cheap project to work on in my spare time to keep me occupied.
so in the classifieds on good old corsasport i picked up a 2000 model corsa b, packed with the ultimate in power of the 1.2 16v eco-gay engine
110k but at a bargain price of £380.... thanks 'dsracing'
pics here:
there he is in the background....
so anyways... opinions welcome...
the interior had no carpet and only 1 rear passenger side seatbelt... and a sparco harness...
so yeaaaaa... as you can see... it had a couple of random stickers, filthy number plates, bonnet sits a little high on the drivers side, seats were filthy, pulled to the left... lots of niggly little bits...
mechanical wise... it had a missfire... and it had a cherry bomb back box attached to about 6 different universal bits of pipes and about 10 exhaust clamps holding it together...
Well... this was a few months back now... and as im a chef, i have 3 hour breaks in the afternoon from 3-6.. so it has kept me busy in the pub car park...
i have been busy scouring the classifieds on here and have met many members including tintin, R1CH etc.
The pictures will follow of what has been done...
but so far...
Cleaned and Polished
Removed 'Club Logo' on drivers door
Removed Rear Wiper
Removed Arial
black carpet from a Tigra
black calibra leathers front and rear
a parcel shelf
TA Technix coilovers with custom rear springs
Fusion component door speakers
screen headunit
TomTom cradle and hardwired behind dash
tigra clocks
mom team 280mm steering wheel
INXX bonnet lifters
Simota carbon charger induction kit with cold air feed hidden behind lower grill
8000k H.I.D's
debadged slatted grill
astra gsi 15" fan blades in anthracite
air flow meter
idle control valve
ngk spark plugs
coil pack and engine cover
replaced headlights as lenses were cracked
replaced passenger side rear light as it was cracked
chrome show cage
full set of seat belts
new track rod ends
Renault Clio Dynamique vented splitter
sportex straight through middle section
sportex 4 inch inwardly rolled back box
clean legal numberplates (no borders etc, std size)
Amp and 10" sub fitted
ash tray changed
new hazzard swith and centre console
cut 3 inches of the gear stick and re bolted gear knob + spring so i still have lift reverse
removed mud flaps front and rear
replaced passenger wing mirror glass as is was cracked
orange magic tree
more interior plastics replaced from tigra
I have probably missed out loads of bits... but needless to say... i have been a very busy boy and this has had a few £££'s chucked at it...
all work done myself which i am rather proud of...
pictures will be coming tomorrow as i was busy cleaning it today..
there will be more done to it to follow... i just hadn't had the guts to write up a project thread for it yet....
but its done now... so now i feel commited! lol
let me know what you think about my progress so far... and any ideas/comments are always welcome here....
you will be hearing from me soon.....
keep checking back

The blue new one doesn't look as broken as the old one at least.
It's got potential to be very nice

there certainly is!! lol
yeah i have only raised the back... its on -40mm springs at the mo.. it looks absolutely ridiculous...
i needed it to take loads of parts from my work to home... so i piled it high and the sills were about 1cm from the floor... .(no exageration ) so i changed the springs for the workhorse jobs.. and just havnt done anything else about it yet...
im lazy

Thank you thank you...
the personalised plate will be going on soon... just not sure whether to get pressed metal plates or stick with plastic ones....
the cage i got from 'evans_corsab' mate... but i belive he got it from ebay if that helps
i wasnt sure about a spoiler... possibly keeping it as it is.. thinknig it looks alot smoother... maybe one day...
yeah the wheels were they old ones off my grey car so were sat about in the garage.. i didnt really want to be spending mega money on wheels when i already had a set... could be a possible upgrade in the future
More power!! defo! one the cosmetic side of things is done... im putting money towards a engine conversion i think.. but again.. this is all in the future so im not sure wich im gonig for yet..
just have to wait and see

yeah both cars have slotted bolts on the coilovers so when i fitted them they just got pushed right in and bolted up... then i could use my wheel spacers
there is 20mm on the front and 15mm on the back wheels
on the blue car i didnt camber the rear wheels though..
if you look at the picture of the grey car you can see the back left wheel with loads of camber on... and the inside of the tyre is baaaaald...
so that was the reason

Right its about time i got an update going.... since last time... i have fitted my flat blade single wiper conversion...
pics here...
Opinions welcome....
Then today, the weather was nice and i had a bit of spare time on my hands...
It has been lowered more at the front... Raised a little at the back...
Washed, Polished with Autoglym Super Resin Polish, Autoglym Car Glass Polish, Plastics and tyres treated with Autoglym Bumper Care
i got a bit carried away with the Bumper Care and did the whole dash, all kick panels and seat plastics including the plastics in the boot and all the rubber seals around the door and boot
lol i think i may possibly have OCD.... but oh well
unfortunately no pics of the interior this time... i forgot...
but pics of the outside as promised
as usual... opinions please...
And a cheeky one next to my plate to show you how low it is..... Please remember this is on a slope... i will get another one to prove the ultimate splitter scraping action soon enough
Next jobs....
transfer private plate onto it....
Paint Sills Black
Paint Calipers and Drums Black (possibly whole rear beam if i get carried away)
Clear side repeaters
Trim inside arches and tiger seal on new Plastic Arches
Thinking of going for all red rear lights... not too sure yet... watch this space
