Fiances dad co-owns a music record label. He produces/masters etc.

I have no idea about it though.

He's only talking about parts in a track, nothing really technical about it. Although he talks about his synth having inverse 'peaks' (technically, it should be called troughs - in terms of voltage of a sinewave peaks are between 0 & 1 and troughs are between -1 and 0), still it looks like he has a DC offset from the synth when he recorded it.

oh, yeah i'm part of the music crowd as well, on my final year studying BA Music Tech at Huddersfield (another CS member is studying MT at Hudds) - it's more write music for 8.0 channel surround sound setups, knock up weird interfaces for controlling music and listen to artists such as Raymond Scott, Taylor Dupree rather than "banging" out hit pop songs or dance anthems, IE: music like - > HERE < and > HERE <.

Im just finnishing my course at the school of audio engineering, work in a studio up here too, looking to go down to london in the summer to get a job in a bigger studio
