I am thinking of getting my 1st SLR, Nikon D60
I have had some experience with my Dad's Nikon D40X, but still not sure which camera will suit me best. If I was to buy the Nikon D60 I would buy the 18-55mm lens with it.. but upgrading lenses can cost quite abit. I would use the camera for general photography, Street, Landscape, Portrait and Macro.
Hope you can help

LOL doesn't make much difference to a D40/60 owner and there are plenty of AF-S, HSM lenses around.

Lenses without AF-S are cheaper than AF-S lenses, so if you can pick up a second hand D80 (think that's what people were recommending) for around the same price as a D60 then you'll be saving money in the long run, as you'll be able to get the cheaper lenses
Also, the general consensus seems to be that the D60 is essentially the same as the D40x, just with more pixels.
Saying all that, i bought a D60 anyway, and love it
