Right i must say i got the best deal ever (imo) this weekend. my mate said he had a laptop for sale so i popped up to his and had a look at it (Fujitsu Siemens (thats all i know of it) currently got 1GB ram and 1.75ghz. Baring in mind his only had it 10 months its virtually like a brand new laptop, it has got Vista basic on. runs relaly quick etc and i got it for a whopping.....Ł180. Now the question i want to ask you guys and girls is how do i restore it so it is like a beand new laptop so it has got none of his files etc?

Unsure. My mate's asked him to make the Recovery discs when he first got it.
I think rather than coming with them, it comes with the files on the hard drive (which is split into 3 partitions IIRC) and you have to make them yourself using the Fujitsu software. It burns 2 DVDs.

Forget where it is in Vista. Probs still in System Tools.

Just go to your desktop and press F1 for help then search for 'system restore'.

I bought a laptop and managed to roll it back to day one. That was on vista too.

Not saying you're wrong, Rob, as I don't know for fact or anything, only what I managed to do.

a) That's not mentioned in the question.
b) He doesn't need the recovery disks, he needs the disk with the o/s on it.
