Hello,

Does anyone know roughly how much Solicitors fees are?

Or does it depend on the circumstance (dealing with estate agents, vendor and surveyors)?

Thanks

This weekend is the first weekend i've had nothing to do with house buying!

Every weekend since Christmas we've been looking at 3 or 4 houses every weekend. We've had a couple of offers in on 1 particular house, but they both got refused. So unfortunately as heart breaking as it was we left it!

So couple of days later we created some flyers and posted them into the houses surrounding this particular one we got rejected on... hehe sneaky move i know, but it worked. The next door neighbour phoned us 3 hours later and said he's looking to sell his. So we've had 2 offers in there but both rejected... now we need to decide whether to walk away or increase our budget slightly.

Its perfect village, perfect street, perfect house.... Cost, not so perfect!

I'll keep my thoughts on the word "perfect" to myself and just say that its a buyers market...load will come along.

Things are only going to get better for buyers for the next year also. I wouldnt rush into anything.

should be in the region of £400 for their actual fee plus dispersments (searches etc) so best part of a grand. I'd shop around if i were you though as those tied to agents and IFA's usually aren't cheap.

Yeah think we was told about £1k ish and that includes the survey.

I trust our IFA to find us the best deal... he's doing an absolutely fantastic job and has not once let us down. He's there when we need him even if it's just stupid questions that we sort of know the answers to but just want a second opinion on.
