if the tribunal wasnt so one sided this would have been looked at

Ultimately, stastistics have proven that West Ham gained more points in the 2006-07 season without Carlos Tevez playing than with Carlos Tevez playing;

West Ham without Tevez:
P12 W4 D3 L5 Points per game: 1.25

West Ham with Tevez:
P26 W8 D2 L16 Points per game: 1

This is not opinion, like Lord Griffith’s belief that you can decide football results in court. This is fact. As West Ham gained more points without Tevez over the entire season, it is impossible to legitimately claim that he kept the Hammers up that season.

The Irons were fourth in the Premier League before the Argentines arrived. Stories of dressing-room unrest came out, with the two players inadvertently ruining the tight team spirit and it’s ‘no-stars’ culture. Reo-Coker was irritated that his close buddies Mullins and Harewood might be losing their places to the newcomers, and Pardew faced a dressing-room revolt. Frank Lampard Snr mentioned in a radio interview around the time that their arrival seemed to have disturbed the Hammers season.

There is much confusion amongst journalists over the situation. Or some might say just directed bias. Henry Winter, of The Daily Telegraph, gave evidence at the tribunal that Tevez; “scored the goal that kept West Ham up. Case closed”. He doesn’t realise that by drawing with Manchester United, West Ham would’ve stayed in the Premier League- and yet this poor research has been allowed to shape football history.

Had Tevez not scored the winning goal against Manchester United, and we’d drawn and stayed up instead, I’m sure things would have been very different. And so it should’ve been, because of the winning goals scored in the Irons 4 one goal-margin wins from their last 7 games, 3 came from Bobby Zamora. Only one decider came from Carlos Tevez, against Manchester United- which wasn’t required to stay up

Tevez played every second of the game against Sheffield United, during the Hammers’ run of 7 wins from 9 games. West Ham lost 3-0. So should Griffiths give those three points back?

Even with nine games remaining in the season, Sheffield United led West Ham by eleven points, in spite of the fact that Carlos Tevez was at the club for 26 of those 29 games. That Sheffield United then blew an 11-point lead they had over West Ham, in spite of beating them and Tevez 3-0 in that run, must surely be blamed upon themselves

Ultimately, this has been a way for Kevin McCabe and Sheffield United to earn some cash in order to ease their own financial fears. When facts show that West Ham gained more points without Tevez on the field throughout that entire season, saying the player kept the Hammers up is a farcical conclusion.

Deciding that football results can be decided in court could send the sport into disarray. Should Watford be relegated this season by a point, should they then sue the Premier League for the ‘goal’ given to Reading?

What makes it even worse is that Liverpool and Manchester United have done the same with Mascherano and Tevez respectively. Who are Man U currently loaning Tevez from? Kia Joorabchian, an agent. So it is a third-party arrangement.

You could even argue that Sheffield United have benefited more from third-party ownership recently. They forbade former player Steve Kabba from playing against them for Watford as part of the transfer, which Warnock described on their official website. Whereas the third-party clause so controversial with Tevez was one that allowed him to be moved on without notice- something which benefited the Hammers in no way.

In light of all these facts, what’s happened is a terrible injustice.

Say Tevez is wank in court, and you only fielded him because you were short? That should work in your favour.
