how can you find out the year of the engine? an if it's from an astra, cav, calibra. where is the engine number located?

on a c20xe its next to the dipstip on the right of the block iirc

take the oil filler cap off. on top of the saddle holding the camshafts in is a circle. inside that circle is the year. ie 92
