Ive basically been deaf in my left ear for 3 days straight now, went to the doctors today and basically told its an infection so im now on anti biotics and given some drops. Any one had this before? Id do anything to hear out of my ear again! Feel really bad when people are talking to me and I ignore them, missed my alarm this morning aswell so was late for my appointment but they understood

but if the guy on the golf course on monday wasnt deaf he probably would be dead by now

Yeah, had an infection 2 weeks ago in my ear, also suffer with slight Tinnitus so that was hell for a few days !!

On one side pretty much completely, combined with a toothache and headache it was a pretty bad week for me !
Trying to sleep was terrible, as i could hear was ringing !

5 or 6 days when on intibiotics, however did go out drinking 1 night so probably made it longer

Am I alright taking ibuprofen with anti biotics? Yeah I was meant to be out tomorrow, think drinking is a bad idea though, wanna get this out the way!

Yeah it was a right pain in the ass, and really makes you show how much you'd miss out !!
I was taking Ibuprofen at the same time and im alive

My gf is 70% deaf in her left ear, hasnt bothered me at all. She spent ages trying to hide/not wear her hearing aid but it failed, she thought id look down on her if i knew...... love her to bits but it does get annoying when she ignores me!

A mate of mine is deaf in one ear, he went through a bad time with his dad being killed and the stress sent him deaf.

I had it over the winter! Blocked ears for weeks. Had to tilt me head a certain way to hear people.

Kirstys brother is pretty much deaf in one ear, must be aweful for him.
He ignores you sometimes but its because he can't hear you.

I woke up on Xmas Day with this, it was horrible. I just left it and it cleared up after about 4-5 days

Wouldn't make a difference to me i'm deaf in my right ear permanently. I had mumps when i was 2 and it burst a nerve in my right ear. i know what you mean if i have music on or the is a background noise and someone talks to me on my right side i can't hear them and then some people who don't know me think i am ignorant till i explain.

Feel even worse today  Whole left side of my face kills. Day 4 now! Its really weird when i have my phone to my left hand side but i can only hear it out of my right ear.
