how do i connect it to the net without a wireless adapter as i had to give back the one i was borrowing?

i dont know if i have any cables as i bought the xbox 2nd hand. the router is too far away to run a cable to. how else can it be done? or cant it?

you need the wireless jobby. Or a long cat5 (ethernet) lead from the xbox to router

i have a spare broadband modem somewhere. could i make it work with that? or shall i just wait until i get a wireless thing?

where is the router compared to your xbox?

If its downstairs but underneath etc then just run some Cat5 cable from where the router is to your xbox, stick some sockets on and just connect it up with some patch leads.

Or if you have a PC near to the xbox you may be able to rob internet access from that with a little hub

cost the same just to get a wireless adapter for his xbox tbh.

could get a wireless bridge if you really wanted though.

The X-Box wireless adapters are shit IMO, really low signal even when your virtually ontop of the router.

Better to try and cable it in
