Has anyone done this themselves? can you give me any tips/help or photos of how you did this.
as i currently have the standard grey headlining but want to re-trim it black to match my interior, what material do you reccomend i use and what do i use to make it stick

Same again - Going to get a second roof lining from a friends scrappy to have a go on. Just worried about the fabric glue coming through

As said to Danny, when mine was taken out the car and left in the house for a bit the heat got to it and peeled some bits up.
I used 3M spray adhesive and some masking tape (in the mind set of 'what you cant see wont hurt' )
Touch wood its still stuck and looking good

perfect, i know what i shall be doing this weekend
as for trimming the pillars etc .. will the adhesive stick the material to plastic ok?

Didnt know you were doing the pillars too.
Ask Iain - Stavs C - as he did them
I sprayed all my trims matt black

Thats Daniels old roof lining but there isnt any gluey patches in the material or sagging anywhere.
Tis always best to be careful and try to avoid any adhesive coming through though, could really spoil it tbf.

I think taking your time, spraying conservatively and not pressing down too hard on the material to get it to stick, then leaving it somewhere warm to set - in my mind - would work fine.
If it dont, well
Depends how thick the material you use is too i guess.
