afaik it's only a one off episode they're doing? But a four parter is as much as they're doing other related Red Dwarf stuff?
If it's anything like the last three series I won't be watching.
Any real fan knows it's pretty much structured in three stages:
Series 1-3: Good
Series 4-6: Amazing, best TV ever
Series 7-9: Absolute tosh a true insult to the Red Dwarf name.
In fact I read somewhere that a lot of people simply disregard those series completely saying it was basically a different show. Just like, for me, Only Fools & Horses finished when the won the money!

They seam to have the money and spent it on FX.

Isn't it just a 3 parter?
As for the film, thats been talked about for years and is no longer listed (no pun!) as being in production on IMDB.

I'm in two minds - some things are best left in the past. Could be awesome though......time will tell.

They shouldn't have done the last series.
The episode where Kryton created the Rimmer theme ride was one of the worst

yeah last few series focused to much on FX and not the story that made the series so good.
putting them back on red dwarf with everyone there was such a mistake should have kept it simple few people going through space finding monsters ect not a ship full, lost its magic when that happened.

Yeah well it changed so much because one of the writers left didn't he... he had the right idea, didn't wanna rinse it.
End of series six was like the best ending to a programme ever.
