I always do.

I tell myself I have a good system by picking horses with odds ranging from 150/1 down to about 7/1 so I cover all the possibilities, its worked twice in about 15 years

Similar to my system of always going for a 33/1 shot or 2, think i've won once in the last decade.

Brooklyn Brownie for me, should be fine at the distance but can't be 100%, think it's too big even at the current price now though

The race is a lottery, nothing to get too deep in imo

Its a little bit less than a lottery as the winner, whoever that may be, will definately have 2 qualities:

1. a good stayer; and
2. a safe reliable jumper.

Who that may be though is tough to pick as the best horse in the race can be brought down...

Loads of trends to consider with it also

Won a chase over 3m

won a race worth more than 17k

has achieved an RPR of 144 + and TS of 128 +

Important not to have too much weight on it's back, under 11 stone is preferred, although not as essential now how the handicap is done has changed

and be between 8-12 years old

Just done the sweepstake at work.

I got:

6 Ollie Magern
26 Fleet Street
32 Southern Vic

know nothing about horse racing so I went with the same horses on my betfair account too. Just £2 on each so not going to lose much

Done a sweepstake at work, gone halves with a mate, got the horse Knowhere. Was only £2 a horse so not going to lose out on much, might have another gamble aswell tomorrow.
