Currently I'm topping out at 120mph on the limiter (on a private track of course), which is some what annoying.. Does anyone know the ratio differences between the F13 and F17 regarding the final drive and 5th gear...
I'd like to swap out 5th in my F13 for 5th in the F17 I've got spare but if its the final drive that makes all the difference I wont bother.
Annoyingly I cant use the F17 box or final drive as it doesnt have a speedo drive in it unless of course they are transferrable?

How is NOS going to over come the fact I've run out of gears? lol.

5th gear in my f17cr with a limiter at 7250 is well off the clock if that helps

It's not just that though. If you're going 120 at (for example) 6500rpm on the limiter then to be going 70 you'd (ballpark figure) be at about 4000rpm.
If you get a longer final drive, it'll require less revs to be doing the same speed, which would give better economy along with a more 'comfortable' drive.

Do you know the final drive ratio on the F17? My 1st 2nd 3rd ratios are spot on! I'd just like a longer 5th and possibly 4th but if its the final drive that makes the main difference it will obviously be a waste of time changing the gearing

corsa c - F13 + F17 are same ratios CR
1 - 3.73
2 - 1.96
3 - 1.30
4 - 0.95
5 - 0.76
R - 3.31
F13/15 CR
1 - 3.55
2 - 2,14
3 - 1.41
4 - 1.12
5 - 0.89
R - 3.31
F13 pre 97 had 3rd - 1.43

so just fit the drive train and diff into the F13 or remove the hydrulic clutch fit cable leaver, and remove speedo blanking plate, im sure you can fit a speedo sensor

Corsa sports are shit for that mine revs at 3500 rpm at 70,makes them not very economical at motorway speed

The drive for the speedo is missing on the diff in the F17 arse
