Been offered a astra mk3 1.6 8v for 70pounds off a lad a work with just wondered how much hassle be involved in putting the engine in my sxi and is it worth it??Engine is fine had rebuild etc hes now bought polo(audi master technician) so wants rid.Got to be better than my 1.2 ecotec had nothing but problems

Id take him up on it as theres a decent tuning scope with them. Granted may not see as much BHP per £ with a modern 16V engine but still a strong engine.
Im sure it's a 1.6 8V Nova that's been turbo'd in next months TV magazine so that be a good starting point if looking into tuning 
Though shall be honest i've no knowledge on the 8V installation though  Sure someone on here will know though

thanks bud .dont seem bad deal wheels on it have good tyres whole front suspension new so i reckon i make bit off money on parts.

Yea sell what don't need eg suspension (unless it's better than yours) and then go from there.

so everyone whats needed to fit 1.6 8v into corsa sxi i know the obvious thinks,mainly want to know which mounts hubs shafts will be needed etc??
