probably be cheaper and more cost effective to just change the engine for a gsi lump or something...will give you same power increase, and would be more reliable and cheaper to repair...

I got a 1.0 12v running 60bhp.....lol keeps with a sxi in the times ive tried, although sxi still beats me off lights, as does everything else, but it catches up eventually.
Ive got a stainless steel mesh piper-x style-s ripspeed exclusive (blitz style) air induction kit, cold air feeds, bosch super4 spark plugs and a custom made exhaust system...torque was up from standard as well.

the charade engine is the same as the corsa 12v lump, just with a turbo fitted to it more or less, obviously head etc is different but the cc etc is identical, both 973cc 12valve 3 cylinder. Those things can embaress even gsi's......

very true.
why do people bother buying a 1.0 l if they plan on doing engine mods like turbos which will make the insurance higher than a gsi, always wondered why.

just try and get a homemade one made up im sure there would be a company that would do it for you!
Ive seen a 1.0 12v turbo in max power (maybe) a while back from Ireland i think!!

1.0 is not a bad engine! Fastest normally aspirated 1.0 engine made! lol.
55bhp, top speed 105mph and better MPG then the TD!
Reason people buy a 1.0 is that its group 1 and 2 insurance, bargain! Plus they can be made to look good, and with a corsa you can never guess the engine if its debadged etc, not unless your a corsa bod.
:-D
