A member familiar with Manchester will be able to give me a better answer, drawing from real life experience and all that type of stuff, tbh.

I'd head to the Arndale one, just in town. Will be about a 5 minute walk from the train station.

Ok, while you're waiting here's the maps on google, with directions from the station.

Oxford Road:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Piccadilly+Station,+Fairfield+Street%2FPiccadilly+Station+(E-bound)+%4053.476720,-2.228980&daddr=oxford+road+M1+5QS&hl=en&geocode=FXD9LwMdDP3d_w%3B&mra=ls&dirflg=w&sll=53.472875,-2.23943&sspn=0.006501,0.019312&ie=UTF8&ll=53.474485,-2.234495&spn=0.006501,0.019312&z=16

Arndale:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Piccadilly+Station,+Fairfield+Street%2FPiccadilly+Station+(E-bound)+%4053.476720,-2.228980&daddr=M4+3AQ&hl=en&geocode=FXD9LwMdDP3d_w%3B&mra=ls&dirflg=w&sll=53.475095,-2.23678&sspn=0.0065,0.019312&ie=UTF8&z=15

As you can see, the first one is much easier and faster to get to just from the postcodes.

Oxford Road is probably closer.
If you look on Google Maps, you can more or less walk where the railway line goes (there's paths but not roads) so can get straight there.

Can do, won't hurt if we are struggling. We are about 200 metres from the station that is all I know as she sorted it out. I'm fussy though, so it would have to serve steak and chips that kind of thing, and as mentioned need 2 have a decent feed.

Reasonable - although I guess that depends what you'd class as reasonable but they are no more than most restaurants I go to.
