Anyone use there stripped out corsa as a day to day car?
I was thinking to remove the rear seats, pacel shelft etc as its pretty much just a dead weight and as only me uses the car.
Apart from value of the vehicle are they any downsides to the reduced weight, Noise, security or anything really.

Noise, and the suspension will be a bit higher due to the loss in weight, thats about it.

Will be fairly louder because theres only then the floor between you and the exhaust, cant really see there being any difference in security as such? but if you have anything in the back obviously it will be more exposed.

Just take everything out, so long as the seatbelts are out then it will pass an MOT, as theres no seatbelts there to test.
Dont change the logbook, and you dont have to tell the insurance either.
Get it lowered 60mm, would say it would be about 45mm when stripped.

Doesnt affect your MOT, you will get an advisory because there is no rear seatbelts but it doesnt fail as there is nowhere for passengers to sit.
Like everyone else has said, will be a fair bit louder, exhaust and road noise, even more so if you remove the sound deadening aswell. I drove about with a stripped car for about a year, gets on your tits eventually driving it everyday

i dont think its massively noisier. not enough to annoy you. id rather have a stripped out car than some wacky 5 inch jap can and a full interior.

Like mentioned as long as seatbelts and seats are out the MOT isn't an issue.
I personally told the insurance as everything else on my policy is declared so thought may aswell but up to you.
And yea it's not massively noisier as such, though i did notice a difference talking to my passenger before and after stripping the rear totally out

you also actually get used to it aswell dont you. i prefer hearing the sound of stones or bolts falling out my engine. its a useful warning.

Mines been stripped for about 4-5 months now, passes MOT fine. Its noisier, but fine if you have a decent sounding exhaust
i fit powerflex bump stops to my koni's to quiet it down abit aswell.
