Higgins v Cope has been excellent so far today just going into the final frame if anyone wants to watch it, folk fainting in the crowd and everything. Oh the drama.

Arena must be sweltering. Either that or it's the excruciating tension.

Top Quality as well the 147, had to make a couple of difficult pots and a 3 ball plant

Quality play from him, would love to see him go on and win it but it's unlikely

147 plus £147k

You'd hate to just be stood there helpless watching your opponent clear the table from break

£147k plus £10k ofr the highest break, not a bad day for Hendry. It's brillaint watching 147's happen, I've watched a few happen aswell as picking a few out when refing for people. Speaking of Cope, 1 of the only guys to knock in the 'highest' break possible of 155, good few years back now though.

surely need a foul so wouldnt be a break?

147 from hendry was great, laughed when comentator "he has missed" before it had went in and then "oh no he has got it in"

ne good to see him get back to his best

Player breaks off, misses completely and leaves other player snookered. Other player takes colour as a free ball followed by a black then starts on the reds + blacks + colours resulting in a break of 155. It's been done numerous times.

In tournament or televised play I think it's only been done once?

Don't think it's ever been done televised or in a tournement, copes was in practice in about 2004.

Aye I mind them saying, I'm sure he said at the same time it's been done once. I may have been tripping.

watched the Hendry 147 last night. very impressive. my highest break is 36 so i know how much skill is needed to get a maximum. i thought the blue he played to get back on the pink was amazing. i knolw he played some better shots earlier on in the break but the pressure he was under at that point made it an awesome shot.

I love Hendry, I can remember as a youngster being allowed to stay up late to watch him in finals! The 147 was fantastic, the three ball plant was so well played.

I would love to see him win the World Championships again, however I can't see it happening. Mind you, from seeing his 147 there is no reason why he shouldn't be able to dominate against anyone on his day
