i have a 1.4 8v engine, pretty reliable - pretty slow. having only 59bhp doesnt meet my needs. in the autumn i want to change the engine but i need some advice from you guys that have already uprated your own.

i was looking at fitting the X18XE1. it looks simple but i could be mistaken.

another obvious one - the 1.6 16v from the Gsi.

or the red top of doooooom lol

but i dont know whats worth getting. im just looking for opinions and suggestions and any problems with any builds you guys have already had. and i want something that wont kill my insurance - im 19 with 3 points in the post haha

im going to lower it, buy some 16" allesios and then go to powerflow or something all in one go. its all getting done in the autumn cos im away this summer.

i just need opinions and stuff with engine conversions. i want to see whats best.

i''m unna say the x16xe from the sport as imo of course the 1.8 is gettin popular and before long it'll end up like the 20xe
