What are you charged Tax wise on something that costs around £200 rental per month?

You pay tax on a percentage of the value of the car, this percentage depends on the cars value & its emissions

It's not based on what the lease is per month. As said, it's on the car's list price and emissions.
I haven't actually paid any tax on it yet, which is odd.

I have a 58 plate (since brand new) Focus Titanium 2.0 TDCi Duratorq. Works out about £60 a month but comes out of your tax free earnings so you don't really miss it (if you get what I mean).

Not bad for saying it gets serviced when needed, taxed, insured, maintained etc etc!

Dad pays about £130 for a Toyota Pruis, private fuel included.

Madness really, he does 2000+ miles a month and uses more then £140 in fuel, let alone the value/use/abuse of the car.

Tax implications aside, £200 wont get you much at all. Maybe an Aygo or similar?!

That says I should be paying about £50 a month.
That's not bad at all.
£50 essentially covers the lease (Golf 1.9 TDi Match), insurance, tax, tyres, oil, servicing, other maintenance, repairs.
