I just got my P60 so I thought I'd sit and calculate how much tax I have paid this year income tax, vat, council tax, road tax, fuel duty etc. etc. and it works out at over £17k..
So thats £17k in tax and the only visible service I have received for that is having my bins emptied once a week.
I LOVE BRITAIN!!

if you include vat it'll be alot more than that.

I took the following:
Total income tax for the year.
Council tax.
Road Tax (for all three vehicles).
Added these up, I then worked out a rough amount of fuel tax and took 15% (vat) of my earnings (after tax) minus savings contributions and housing outgoings.
I know its not accurate but its going to be close to the truth!
Makes me want to cry!

I'll have to take a photo of my bin bags so you can see what a £330 bin day looks like!
