Tennant downstairs knocked on our door last night and said water was seeping through his light fittings in his kitchen, took out our washing machine and was dry behind there, then came to the waste pipe under the sink which both the dishwasher and washing machine connect too.
The fuckers when they built the place left a gap of about half an inch between two pipes as it enters the outgoing waste pipe, meaning half the water was going where it should have and half going all over the concrete floor under the kitchen cabinet  .
Seems the water eventually found its way to the lowest point, happens to be the corner of the room and found a gap to get onto the beams under the concrete floor and finally into his apartment.
I really hate apartments , ecspecially new ones!
ANOTHER claim against the builders, already had one where they punctured a water supply pipe with their nail gun which over time corroded away and left a hole in the pipe, which eventually flooded the bathroom.
Avoid Crest Nicholson Homes!

pmsl - typical.
I had a recent claim against Berkeley Homes refused after finding a water pipe exposed and leaking (heavily) behind my kitchen cupboards with the damage covered in sikaflex.
Had to pursue the claim with the home insurer, who are now sueing BH for the £4k rectification costs.

You can see how saturated the plaster is/was.
You can also see where the tradesman was previously trying to locate the service pipes by taking chunks out of the wall. Even after that he still failed. coont.

similar thing with our new build, tenants called us about leaking etc,
job hadnt been finished, used cheap as shit fittings that broke and werent fitted properly.
Ongoing claim still.

Or in most new build's it's "buy expensive, get cheap".
The price of new builds is daylight rape and the silly mugs still hand over cash, especially Barratt's, you could fall into a wall after a night out because your drunk and end up in the next room.
