whats peoples experiences? i stuck too the bumper ov one the other day from 80-140 something and thats in a lightly tuned SEH? this was on private roads btw

I bummed one round elvington airfield once. True story. So cos of that one car and driver an XE corsa will be faster than them all.

what brake are the sti's? it had all the bumpers an big wing on the back so im presuming it mite have been one ov them?

I didn't say you were lying, but you could have raced a 2.0 wrx rep, your xe would never beat a wrx/sti.

STi's are anywhere between 250-280bhp on classics

depends on the year. They are not really geared to go 140 though and limited to 115 out of the factory.

wrx 0-100 10 years
sti 0-100 2 years
xe 0-100 12 seconds depending on driver and how big the hill is

If its just a uk spec turbo they started life at 212bhp right through to 280bhp for the wrx sti and 312bhp for the type R iirc.

so a 200bhp impreza against a 150bhp corsa would be about level pegging if you take into account weight difference and drivetrain loss.

An older sti would muller you and a newer model like an rb320 would leave you for dust.

xe corsas are not supercar slayers, not even sports car slayers. Just failry quick hatches!

sadly you are wrong the uk turbos are geared for 140 unlike the Sti's
