TBH i dont rate hi-spec 4pots purely because all you can use is EBC pads(which imo are utter toss).
Had them on my old Pulsar with 300mm discs and redstuff pads and they werent all that bitey.Had the car on track and they just didnt seem to warm up.I'll give them credit for not fading tho but other than that, crap.

i rang hispec once, wont ever ring them again. Customer service/sales is not their strong point.

Pedal travel doesn't bother me, just press the pedal harder and be a man

I agree to be honest, I noticed a slight change in pedal feel but that was it and I put that down to the caliper having a larger piston. Still stop the car dead and put passengers through the windscreen.

Hi Spec
or
Wilwood
Wilwood without a doubt. ALWAYS been the superiour brakes, used by Super 1400 rallying corsas, (285mm disc jobbies).
Only issue in the past was no piston seals so wasn't ood at all for road use, but I think they modified them years ago with seals.......
Wilwood Vs 288mm's No contest, don't even go there.....

Also the difference between V6 and turbo calipers is unreal. The smaller piston on the turbo caliper really does make a difference.
Had V6 calipers on my Mk3 Gsi which suffered quite a bit of pedal travel and that was with brand new discs(fiat coupe 4 stud 288s) and pads and even the bigger M/C as standard.
My old XE Corsa had turbo calipers with brand new discs(again fiat coupe 288s) and pads and there was no pedal travel. And they used to bite like fuk.Didnt need to pump the pedal like most folk say you do.
