You know the bulb covers you can get for the dash/MFD to change the colour of the light from maplins...
How much do they cost and what are they actually called? e.g. can I just go in and go 'I'll have x amount of blue bulb covers please' and they'll give me what I want...
Finally, how many do I need? is it 2 in the dash and 2 in the mfd?
Cheers,
Paul J

what that greeny sort of colour as seen in your pics?
Oh dear... Maybe I'll give it a miss hehe... I'd get red but I'm more likely to get other things blue later (e.g. neons, etc)

just had a go at mine, took sodding ages, lost some skin and i've run out of leds so i've ordered some more. They aren't as bright as the bulbs but looks nice so far. Oh and tried blue bulb paint but it looks shite - came out green as u can see on the parts that aren't blue.

Maplin on-line says that the covers are discontinued, does anyone know were else to get the covers from ?

This is what they actually look like..
As said, Maplins have discontinued all but the red and amber covers now.
All the colours worked very well with even lighting with the exception of blue, the blue came out a very pale colour in the dials, and hardly noticable in the mfd, red and green were both very good. If you want blue, I would recommend leds. I have a mix of leds and covers on my own dash.

i've now got red glow from my speedos, took fooking ages to take apart the C's dash, but oh so worth it.
top tip, when you get the bulb covers from maplins, there are two rings round them, cause they fit like a bitch (hard to screw back in when attached) i cutt off the first ring at the bottom and poped it back on, fits better this way!

The rings at the bottom are for mounting on a pcb. You will have a hard job fitting the holders back in the slots with them in place. Cut the rings off so the cover looks like the green one in the pic above.
