just wandering if the standard corsa b alarm system has a shock sensor in it, because my alarms gone off over the last 2 days in the middle of the night because of the wind i think, which i thought was pretty wierd, i didnt even find out it had one untill after about 5 months of owning it and now for some reason its started working (when i unlock it, it beeps as the central locking does its thing but its getting louder compared to when i first got it and didnt make a sound)

if you press and hold it for about 10 seconds it makes the light on hazard button flash unless it isnt plugged in, and yeah thats standard with the alarm

Oh yea its working now, so let me get this straight... i hold it down for 10 seconds to turn it off incase i have a dog or something in the car at the time? And to activate it i need to turn the key 90 degrees when locking the car which also enables the deadlock?
If the alarm was to sound, how would i turn it off again?
How can you set the alarm off?

So i just turn the key 90 degrees in the lock to activate the alarm? And i dont press the button on the interior light unless theres something that could move in the car (like a dog)?
How would i confirm its been turned on?
Can someone tell me what will set the alarm off? ie smash windows etc.
And anything else i might need to know? cheers

Red light should flash on the hazard switch when deadlocked which activates the alarm.

If it doesnt then this is proberly broken in the lock

Isnt to hard to fix, I had to do mine at the start of the year. Its a common part that breaks and costs around £7 from Vauxhall. I proberly have the reciept and part number somewhere

I'm going to make this even more confusing.
I've got a '98 corsa sport with a key with an LED light on it, no sort of obvious way to arm/disarm any sort of alarm. Not that long ago I noticed a power sounder under the bonnet beside the brake fluid bottle though - plus I've got one of those things that senses if your bonnet is up or not.
Do I have an alarm and if so how do I arm and disarm it?

Sorry, LED on the key is just the torch to find your keyhole.
I've got an LED on the hazard switch as well though.
