Hey guys,
Basically i had a CCJ falsely put on my credit report in 2007 this has stopped me from getting credit and caused great difficultly for me over the past 2 years.
Now this CCJ has finally been removed after my persistence in proving my innocence.
Is there anything i can do in terms of claiming some money back of the idiots that caused this.,..
It was for a motor accident that went 50/50 and the guy claimed using a 3rd party but the claim was sent to a address i no longer lived at resulting in eventually a court summonds and a ccj..
Cheers for any input.

So you want to take action against an individual, as they were the ones who provided old address details?

This is the thing i'm not sure who is to blame ?
The other persons insurer for not going through my insurance ?
My insurance for not dealing with the claim correctly ?
The individual for not confirming i was still at that address.. ?

Well Im guess....
The guy went through a 3rd party (as you said) so his insurance isnt at fault.
Your insurance had nothing to do with them sending it the wrong address.
Im sure if you tried to claim, they would then cunter-claim to say it is your fault for a. not providing correct details at some stage, and b. not making sure your mail is redirected from old address to new one.

Try your local citizens advice bureau, they will probably have an idea how you would go about it or whether it is worth following up.

If you want to claim money you will generally need to have incurred a loss.
