It's that time of year again where the car has to take it's annual trip to Vauxhall to be smashed about a bit and generally treated like a piece of shit.
This time we have scuffs on the front bumper where the remedial mechanic spent 4 hours doing an oil change and manifold stud recall.
Oh and the door sills have been used for him to wipe his feet on.
Thanks Eden Newbury, you will be another I won't be returning to.

Na, I'd rather just fucking whine on here TBH. At least it drives a LOT better now the studs are done. I'm off to attack the scuffs with all manner of cleaning products in the hope I can get rid of them.
Last time the car got scuffed at Vauxhall I traded it in as I couldn't stand looking at them.

Place where we bought the car = Donnas brother.
Terrible service, not treated as a customer.
Gone to a new Vx garage, had nothing but impecible service. been superb dealers.
(VX garage off the A20 at Sidcup).

Before there was a slight hesitation, now it's a lot smoother. Pulls harder.

I am so glad my mate is no a VW Mechanic so he can take my car in and work on it. I don't trust other people in garages!
What are you using to get the scuffs out? Doubt it's possible by hand?

why take it to a main dealer? Any specific reason? The only one I think off is you enjoy being raped with the criminal hourly charges and shite service.
Why not take it to a small independant. So loony as it's serviced using gm stuff does it make any difference.
Edit.
Just reread that and it sounds like I've turned into your wife! Not having a go, just interested.

Did you get a call/letter about the stud recall, or did you have to ask if yours needed doing?

You're fooling yourself if you think you will get better service at VW or elsewhere. If you trust the guy you usually use just go with him, its a Golf it doesn't need and real specialist attention. Just use genuine bits if you want to be a bit more fussy about it, other than that he will do the job as well as anyone.

Best way is doing it yourself (then getting a vauxhall stamp)
