where does this wire go.. think its an earth but cant remember all i know its track 15...

iz it the 1 with senser if so i think its live
coz ive got a wire runing from my foot well and attached to that 1 ( black)

switched ignition live needs to be connected to the black wire down in the footwell

Indeed it is defo not an earth

Generally on vauxhalls:

Black = +12v ignition.
Red = +12v Battery.
Brown = Earth.
