Are they worth it?

I'd be much more inclined to work out at home then get my lazy ass down the gym. My sister has moved out so her room is empty. Thinking I could turn it into a mini gym.

Personally I'd join a gym, loads more things you could do there.

Like what though?
I'd sooner run outdoors then on a treadmill.

I agree with Marc, plus you may think you're more likely to use it at home but it'll end up just sitting there.

My mate has converted his spare room into a wee mini gym, he uses it far more than he does the actual gym.

That'd certainly be the cheaper option. Probably should do that first to see.

Thats what I did in my spare room. I ended up going the gym more than using that though.

I did enjoy going to the gym when I had a gym buddy. But then he quit and I lost interest. I think I'd prefer to have my music on and work out at home.

Well you'd be able to do bench press, shoulder press, flys.

A barbell, dumbells, weights and a bench is all you need. Honestly, multi-gym's are pretty shit and no where near as effective as the compound exercises using a barbell.

Would the bench in my second link do the job?

It would be a start for potentially joining a gym sometime in the future.

my bench cost me £40 just a basic one but you can do flys with dumbells aslong as the bench is soild and the back can be adjusted its ok imo
