My Sister is going out with a South African bloke, he's white for what it matters, and his 5 year VISA expires this year. So he applied for another one, and they provisonally said no! He had to appeal, and convince them why he should be allowed to stay. Even though he's had a job since the 1st week he came to the UK, and has never been unemployed. He's paid taxes, NI, the lot. And they were going to say no! Then all the while we get free loaders scamming the country out of money, and the Government seemingly don't give a monkeys. Something is very wrong there.
No idea what my sister would've done had they rejected his appeal. They've been going out 3 years and live together.

That was serious btw, not taking the piss. I do agree though, an honest working foreigner isnt a problem with me, along as they come over, pay what we do and abide by the same rules then I have no problem. It's when they come over in a truck load of bananas, claim asylum and then get every benefit under the sun that pisses me off.

You're right though, that'd be the only option if they wanted to stay in the UK. Either that or free Holidays for me in SA
And yep, it's crazy how the system works.

Wander what it would have been like if it was the other way around though.
He sounds like a honest hardworking person. It seems if you are like this theese days you get nowhere in life, yet the unemployed and the theives etc seem to get everything.

Its becuase he's not from the EU. If he'd have been a Polish fella he'd have been offered a 3 bed house, and all the benefits he can spend
