Hey guys, what are all the low group insurance cars i could get insured on, my astra 1.4 is a 6, and on my dads policy they want just under 2 grand for it, if he doesn't put his no claims on.. which he cant anyway. So need somethink under a 6, but i cant stand small pedals, also am 6ft 4 so needs to be roomyish. budget about 500 quid.

Mines group 1. He can transfer his no claims over onto your policy if he likes, which would work out better, as his will barely go up, and yours will go down ALOT.

Possibly, but on Parkers.co.uk some 1.0 models are group 1 and some are group 2, no idea why, may just be a misprint.

We tried to move all his no claims on mine, but he was a moaning bastard about it. So i get non of them, ka's are group 2 and are a 1.3.. Pedals are small tho.. but will have to drive 1 again.. What if i put those shit ripspeed crap pedals on, to make the pedals wider? could try n get a saxo then if this is possible.

just try different insurance companies mate. i was told by direct line that they dont use insurance groups as such because they have their own catagories for cars and different insurers can put the same car in different catagories thats why online quotes vary so much
