liverpool victoria gave me a quote today 300 cheaper than cis, and that was with a kitted, 17's lowered car, all mods declared

oh and whoever said mods arent covered by cis, they are, but only if u tell them, and it doesnt cost anymore on the policy unless its engine, so u peeps best tell em, wont cost anymore

Yeah you have to pay a little extra for the mods but its only a small increase, better than Tesco wanting £160 for zorst, K&N and alloys.

I am sure they do like for like also!!

so if i was to tell CIS i had a set of alloys that cost me say £800, and i wrote the car off/crashed. they would pay out for the £800 alloys? or would it just make my claim valid?

Oh on CIS I dont think they replace like for like, its new for old, your claims is just valid. On liverpool Victoria I was talking about mods.

Any alteration classes as a mod. Anything that changes the appearance/mechanical workings of the car from standard is a modification.

Dave17 with CIS I am sure if you had a kit for example and the back bumper got smashed they would only pay for a new back bumper and new fitting. Yet a lot of places where you get the work done would let you put to and get the kit version of the bumper bought and fitted using the money for the standard one as part of it.

I have had an accident recently, some pr!ck in a clio rammed into the back of me up town. Got a quote from Vauxhall and they said I would need a new exhaust, what is happening is that Vauxhall will be charging on the quote for the new piper exhaust and fitting it with new centre section from powerflow being fitted too.

liverpool insurance are shit for standard cars, so unless u plan to mod ur car, dont go with them when ur young

they come into their own league when u have a kitted up car and engine mods which they charge nothin extrea for, unlike most companies
