Rite, this has been annoyin me for ages now. It was brought up few weeks back, and they had a pic of a euro corsa B, but with a Tigra front end on.
I'm very seriously thinkin bout this, as after closer inspection on loadsa Tigras, it appears that from the scuttle panel forwards, they r exactly the same as a corsa!!
However, i havent had chance to look under the bonnet to c if that layout is the same as well.....so i'm wonderin can any1 help me out. I no these cars share basically the same chassis, but is the front end identical?
I'm thinkin of using Tigra front wings, bonnet, bumper, headlights and crash panel to do the conversion but unsure if this will work. The wings on the Tigra appear to be the same shape etc. just minus any of the plastic arches etc.
If u can shed any light on this, i'd appreciate it!! Or if some1 cud find that pic of the euro one already done!
much appreciated.
cheers

your correct matty, i was finding out about it in the summer cos i was gonna do it.
u need exactly what u have stated above. only thing is you will need to smooth out some of the swannage lines or else it will look odd on a corsa.

What would you do with the rear arches i looked at this but plastic arches on the rear and metal fronts is going to look odd.
Unless you smooth the rears?

it would still look odd would it not. u would need to fabricate some sort of insert to fill up the space left when u take off the plastic and weld it in then fill over it to make it look like a normal arch.

arent the tigra fronts kinda flared anyway just without the arch?
Perhaps if you got tigra rear quarter repair panels and welded them in now that would be different

Exactly Stevie hence i said repair panels
dunno if anybody is doing them yet as the tigras arent suffering from rotten arches yet, dealers might??
If not you could butcher some quarter panels just to take the arch lip.
Could look sweet with some nice simple flat sideskirts saw some the other day on here but forget what they were called.

Sorry i just wasnt sure if that was what u meant coz didnt know if u could get them or not. thats a quality idea, u could cut the bottom part of 1/4s of a tigra in a scrappy. Real good thinking m8

just looking at the front end on the tigra and a combo van the fronts are exactly the same all you would need is a slam panel and the body panels and lights bumper.

The chassis legs are probably the same but the slam panel is certainly different, the style of the panels is different as well, isn't there a line down the Tigra wing? And the arch is different?

Dont worry the cars goin into be gutted and re-done anyway so as well as the tigra front, i'd be getting the rear arches smoothed, (undisclosed model) rear lights grafted in, the front arch swadge line smoothed, whole respray, 18"s, NOS, etc so it shudnt be a prob.
Just wana no if the parts are the rite size etc or if they r gonna require hours and hours of moddin to fit.
sounds good so far, hopefully b a first on corsasport

Sorted - cheers Akeem. Lokks well nice in my opinion, but there aint no way i'm gona stick with the std Tigra front bumper anyways!!
Looks like a pretty much straight forward fit, just not 100% bout the wings (where they go down by the doors etc)
