2.2 isn't that much when talking super cars.
You'd eat into the winnings pretty quick running one.

Yup, If he buys a house, pays of debts (if he has any) then he isnt left with al lthat much, it's enough to live comfortably definately but not retirement money, you'd have to do something to earn abit I think.

Yeah, I mean hes buying a Datsun FFS what an upgrade
But 2.2 Mill is easy to survive on, 350k gets you a very nice house with a bit of land even down here in the south, 100k on a car, maybe a holiday home abroad and another one right next to the Nurburgring.
And I'd spend my days between Germany and England just driving around in circles.

I'd probably buy two or three cars, one being a supercar, one a trackday weapon, and one being practical like a Range Rover Sport or something. £400-500k house with loads of gadgets etc, some nice clobber and then bank the rest and live a nice life off the interest. I'd still work - probably buy my own bar/restaurant or gastro pub.
Oh and i'd fund a season in a one make championship for myself too. Maybe Clio Cup or similar.

Precisely. Apart from the deserving it the most bit.
Lottery winners are normally scumbag car thieves or woman that will ''keep their job in the fish packing factory, stay in their semi and continue to have their caravan holiday, but might buy a nice new jumper and some sausages''.
Most normal people that are practically wretching for some folding, usually miss out.

how can anyone can say 2.2 million isn't retirement money?
think about it. buy a nice house for 500k, probably spend 200k on other stuff like cars and furniture then you have 1.5 million to fuck about with.
i could live a brilliant live on 30k a year with no mortage to pay for.
people just like to live above their means which is how lottery winners end up spunking their money in 5-10 years.
