Getting rather pissed off at the fact every time i have to use the @ key i need to hold down shift then number 2 then for the little " i need to hold shift then the @ sign 
anyone any ideas on why its doing this and how to get it back to normal 
its a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse if that helps

No idea i have had a look on control panel on keyboard settings but only tells me driver info

It will be set to american, control panel then regional and laguage options.
