i don't wanna loose any speed!! If i do i don't wanna loose more than a second to 60 or it will feel slow!! IMO as soon as you get under 10 seconds to 60 cars feel too slow!!!

big alloys slow acceleration - just cause ya speedo is going up quicker the car aint going faster - also slow top end
of cause ya will notice a differance - ya aint even said wot alloys ya got now, but i could notice a differance from 15's to 16;s (thats with 2 litre engine) - so to 17's theres a big differance

in my experience its true. More surface area on the wheel = more grip = qiucker acceleration. lose top end through takes longer to go round> simple

prob 14's ???? so 14's to 17's will make no differance - when i could feel a differance from 15's to 16's ?? yeah right

I thought it was because the 17's would be a lot heavier..therfore more weight to carry...i understand Robs theory though about the surface area..that sounds about right as well though....surely someone must know the answer!!

exactly takes longer for wheels to get round.......greater cicumference, same engine pulling it???? top end is only theory science says you shud get greater top speed but i agree u dont i certainly dont neway

If you increase the wheel size you change the gearing of the car. If you had the power to get to the rev limit with 17s you would be going faster than with 16s etc.
