I love carbon fibre and the way it looks, but when people start adding it to their cars just for the sake of it, it seems a bit chavy. Especially when its not real.
This is odd though because its actually real carbon. However its like a vinyl, so it has no benefits other than to look good, and in reality it will actually make the car heavier (ever so slightly).

I'm in two minds whether i like it or not, but i'm thinking i could probably live with it on my car.

What do you think?

I think its a great idea. People paint there cars different colours and put vinyl wraps so whats the difference. Obviously it will have no real benefit other than looking good

It just seems a bit like those fake tattoo sleves though

Although a fake carbon roof isn't nearly as bad as fake tattoos.

I totally can't make my mind up about it.

I'd probably use it on a plastic splitter to tie in with real carbon bits on my car. More for a durability reason as it won't split or fracture on the first bump it hits.

that looks really good! wonder if getting that put onto a fibrelass bonnet would work out cheaper or more expensive than buying a carbon bonnet

Was reading through this on DW a couple of weeks back. Would look great on the right car - such as that M3 those photos are of.

Brian @ Drive and Shine is on to a good thing there I reckon lol.

IMO its not shiney enough
carbon is usually super glossy, which is certainly an appeal to me,
Just looks too matte
