As above really, my mobiles seen better days but I really dont have a clue about what I shoul get.
Ive never really been into phones much, they dont excite me. I laugh in the direction of people with 40, 50 quid+ bills. I have a house phone I pay for so cant bring myself to splash too much on another phone.
Ive always went no thrills pay as you go, tenner a month & free texts has ticked all the boxes for me.
Now I think im ready to take a step forward. Maybe a contract & get one with net access. As i'd use it on the train on the way to work.
Anyway I still dont want to pay too much. Maybe 25 -30 a month tops.
What should I get??

Not sure I like the look of that tbh.
Might just get an i-phone 3G 16GB.
Can get a decent package for £35mnth.
Or is their anything else that compairs to the i-phone or os better??

All comes down to what you want out of your phone.
If your looking for an all-in-one does lots the iPhone is hard to argue against - recently sales have proven that.
3 days they have sold multiple times what pre sold in 1 week.

HTC Magic, cant rate mine high enough, my mate sold his iPhone 3G and bought one sim free after having a go on mine!

Colin, best bet is to go into vodafone, orange, o2, etc and have a play about with the phones. Grab an assistants and get them to talk to you about new phones, then go online and get the best deal

Same boat as you, due an upgrade in a week. Looked at the new iphone, but the packages are shit! Yeah, you get unlimited internet but the texts and calls offered are pretty poor! And picture messaging cost 25p on the new iphone too.
I currently have a sony ericsson c902 and I quite like it, its a phone and it phones and texts and takes decent pics just need something similar but new!
