ok my room in my parents house is in the attick and its like a green house when its even remotely sunny, so i need something to cool it down.
i was thinking about one of these,
air con
am i correct in thinking one part of the unit can be wall mounted outside and just stay there, through the winter and rain ect?
are they actually decent at cooling a room, please dont tell me to get a proffesional system installed as i really dont have the money and its not my house, just something so i can actually stay in my room during the day without melting would be nice.

The condenser/compressor is mounted outside and then the fan unit is mounted inside. You then have a few pipes and cables that run between the two.
>THIS< ebay auction has photos that show how the unit is installed etc
