Not sure when its started, just noticed it last night when I wanted to record 2 things. One didn't record, now when I have something recording it won't let me watch any other channel. Just says there is a technical problem with the channel. I've swapped both leads from one to the other and they both seem to be working.
I've had a quick look around on google but can't see much, common problem or will I have to ring Sky for them to look at it? Also a few times it has randomly switched off like its had a power cut now and again.

Is it an older box Joe?
I've got one here that the second tuner has packed in, it's only when it has to use that second tuner it shows up.

Not sure to be honest, probably had it around a year maybe a bit longer? Can't quite remember.
Sounds like its the same thing on this one then, records fine just can't record 2 things at once or record one and watch something else.

Yeah I've tried that.
Looks like we will have to call an engineer then. Cheers folks.

Do you read anything before posting?
If you've swapped the wires round it'll almost certainly be the tuner Joe.
Depending on box and technical ability it's sometimes possible to swap them.

Try each cable separately if you havent already done so.
Just put one feed in then go to signal test in the menu, then do the same on the other cable.
If you have one feed down, the box will automatically use the 'good' one.
Failing that the box is fucked, its a common fault on Sky+ / Sky+HD boxes
