I will now get an answer on tues.
the bloke says part of the report says EXTENSIVE damage and mayb b un repairable and PROBABLY is a total loss.
I am fucking GUTTED. i have spent the last 3 years, with all my £, my time, my effort for wat, 1 little mistake
I mentioned wat will happen to my mods and he sed if payed for, i may have bk OR the amount up to 700 i get bk. so eiether way i am gonna lose
I mentioned that my car is going into TOTAL VAUXHALL magazine and i sed that my corsa is worht MORE than the market value (£1750), but he sed he cnt discuss it until i have the FINAL descision.
So it looks as though, i WONTget my seats or steering wheel, cuz they wasnt on insurance.
I am so gutted and very depressed, i am a low life now, part time job, no car, no uni....
well thats my moaning over
soz peeps

Right, if I ever crash my car I'm gonna strip it hehe...
Its stupid that if its a 'write off' that u can't get anything off of it... Like even selling standard parts from it could get u money...
Then all the alloys, styling, ice... Its stupid!

I never realised that happened... My mate wrote off his saxo - and he said he was sitting in his car in shock and then started taking out his stereo, subs etc...
When he told me he did that I was thinking 'Why the hell?' but now I know...
He got money from insurance - bought a well modded punto (it looks ace) - and put his ice into it...
Worked out quite good for him in the end.

I don't think he got much, he had a shitty 1.1 saxo... nothing special... He bought the punto for 2.5k I think
it is a 1.1 punto (suprisngly nippy) - nice blue colour which looks like a flip paint, new zorst, alloys, fully body kitted, tinted windows all round, fogs, induction kit, new interior, flush boot, lowered 60mm on a full suspension kit. Plus with his ice... It is bloody nice.
there's a 1.2 punto called the punto 80 or 85 - which is a 1.2 with 80 bhp! sounds pretty nippy to me, should be quite cheap to insure coz of it being 1.2...

My mates girlfreind has one of these, it's rapid for a 1.2!
Could be a good option for u Yoyo, don't think the insurance is that much coz it's still only a 1.2, but she beats Corsa SRi's and keeps up with Sports no problem

Don't think insurance companies are gonna pay you more cos the cars been in a mag
Just go down the garage and get the modds out the car, might not get away with bumpers tho, when I wrote mine off I got the sterio, gear knob etc

right then YOYO, do not accept any crap offer from the insurance company, the way around it is to prove the value of the car, collect cuttings from magazines etc of modded corsas and use these to prove the value of your car, your mods were declared I presume, so the insurers have a legal obligation to return you and your property to the condition in which you were in pre accident. DO NOT accept a low offer from them coz its then too late, I held out against an insurance compeny several years ago for a festa I had an accident in, they wanted to write it off, but I said no, and they then had it repaired, check around on the web, pretty sure that just coz the car is a write off, doesnt mean that they can write it off, 99% certain that if you demand to have it rebuilt then they have to do so.
I have quite a lot of experience with insurance, Ive written off every car Ive ever had apart from my BMW and the corsa( not all my fault), my first insurance policy was £5760 per year TPO!!! (17 and driving an Audi quattro 4WD turbo, rang around and everyone refused to quote me, the last place said oh yeah we can do it, gonna be about £100 a week, plus interest for installments, thought what the hell and said yes Ill take it, dont think they wanted to quote so they just made up a figure) so wanted to get my moneys worth over the next few years LOL
