3 men booking a hotel room its 30 quid so each pay a tenner , later the manager realises hes overcharged them by 5 quid so he sends the bell boy to giv it bak , but he only gives them a pound each and keeps 2 quid , so theyv all paid 9 quid thats 27 quid , 29 quid with the 2 quid the bell boy kept , wer is that other bloody quid it baffles me ?

Yeah its fairly obvious really, you're adding the two pound on to the £27 instead of taking it away to give you the £25.

Its voodoo magic. Its gone. 
Its not gone anywhere, its the wording that is supposed to confuse people.
They initially paid £30. Overcharged £5 so after the refund, only £25 has been paid to the hotel. |The guests get £3 back, and the bellboy gets £2. £25 + £2 + £3 = £30.
