My car alarm usually sounds once when I unlock the car and twice when I lock it.
Recently when I lock the car, it does the 2 beeps, then pauses for 1 second, then does 5 more consecutively. I have an 'avital' alarm, I've lost my manual, I have no clue what is wrong. The c/locking is working as it should so I'm confused.
Cheers

Never had any experience with Avital alarms but from others makes I know they usually add extra beeps to tell you that one of the sensors isn't as it should be. I'm pretty sure with Cliffords if a door isn't closed properly it gives some extra beeps to warn you.

I think I've located the problem now. The other day I was doing my daily checks, oil, coolant, oil cap etc
I dropped the bonnet from almost it being fully-open by accident, I've noticed a small dent on the inside of the bonnet where the alarm button is parallel to. So I guess that it's telling me the button isn't pressed properly, also where the dent is, I cant un-dent it without drilling or getting a new bonnet. Any tips or anything? lol cheers

put a weight on the bonnet switch and see if it stops the beeping
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
