Has anyone ever done it?
It's 54 miles. Thinking about entering for Summer 2010. I currently cycle about 50-60miles a week. So I'd be upping that if I started training. I once cycled 20miles one Saturday when I was bored, and it was quite nice tbh. Just need to get a new bike sorted through the Government Cycle scheme.
Would also be good to raise money for charity.

54 miles isn't too bad on road. It wouldn't take too much in the way of training either. Go for it

Mate of mine let his missus do it. He entered first, then encouraged her to then he pulled out
She wasn't exactly fit and didn't really train much in advance and didn't struggle too much. Do it
